Pre-wedding shoots in Mumbai

A relaxed day for just the two of you, before the families arrive. Photos for your invitations and walls, and a short film many couples play at the sangeet.

Photos, a film, or both

Choose what you want to walk away with.

Pre-wedding photography

Natural, guided portraits in one or two locations, with outfit changes. Good for invitations, save-the-dates and framed prints.

Pre-wedding film

A short, music-led film of the two of you, often shown on the LED wall at the sangeet or reception.

Both on one day

A photographer and a filmmaker working together, planned so neither slows the other down.

Planning guide

Four things to sort before the shoot

  1. Pick a feeling, then a place

Seafront, old streets, a garden or a getaway. We suggest Mumbai locations that suit the mood you want, and the time of day with the best light.

  2. Check permissions

Some public places and heritage sites need permits or charge a fee. We tell you which ones before you set your heart on them.

  3. Plan two or three outfits

One traditional, one relaxed, maybe one statement look. Avoid tiny busy prints; solid colours and texture photograph best.

  4. Go early

Mumbai light is softest just after sunrise and before sunset. Early mornings also mean fewer crowds on promenades and streets.

Questions

Pre-wedding questions

How long is a pre-wedding shoot?

Most couples need half a day to allow for travel between locations and outfit changes.

Can we shoot outside Mumbai?

Yes. Travel and stay are planned with you. For Goa, see Sands & Vows.

We are camera-shy. Will this be awkward?

Most couples say that at first. We give you simple things to do rather than poses to hold, and the photos come from the moments in between.
